Record Breaking Season for Webber's Dennard

Comments

Babson Park, Fla. Webber International University's sophomore sprinter/jumper, Charrie Dennard had an impressive indoor track season qualifying for the NAIA indoor championship meet in the long jump and triple jump. Dennard followed that up by qualifying for the NAIA outdoor championship at the season opener host by USF. Miss Dennard won the triple jump in a school record 12.06m (39'7") which was good enough for an NAIA "A" standard mark (11.60m 38'.75"). The former mark was a 12 year old record held by former Warrior P.J Pringle (12.15m 39'8.75") in 2003. Then, followed that performance with a 2nd place finish in the long jump which was good for the "B" standard 5.49m or 18'1" going 5.59m (18'4.25"). This was also a school record. The 8 year record was held by former Warrior, Latasha Brown, who set the standard at 5.53m 18'1.75".
